incredible

> incredible and incredulous
incredible and incredulous are liable to be confused although they mean different things. Incredible means "unbelievable" or "difficult to believe", as in "I find his account of the accident totally incredible" and "It is incredible that everyone accepts his story". It also means "amazing", as in "earn an incredible amount of money". Incredulous means "not believing, disbelieving", as in "His incredulous listeners stared at him".
