urban

> urban and urbane
urban and urbane are liable to be confused. They look similar but they have completely different meanings. Urban means "of a town or city", as in "urban dwellers" and "in an urban setting". Urbane means "smoothly elegant and sophisticated", as in "an urbane wit" and "an urbane man of the world".
